Local authorities and public bodies benefit from major financial support for the deployment of charging infrastructure, mainly through the national Advenir programme. These grants primarily target public road equipment, parking services, and the transition of heavy vehicle fleets.
The Advenir programme supports local authorities in developing their territory for electric mobility. The grants are divided into several categories: funding for charging points open to the public on roads (up to 30%), bonuses for innovative 'on-demand charging' mechanisms, and specific funding for heavy goods vehicle and coach fleets (up to 50%). Local authorities acting as social landlords can also benefit from grants for collective housing.

Possible combination: The Advenir programme complements public initiatives supporting electric mobility.

Points to note

  • Service areas on the national road and motorway public domain are not eligible for the Advenir road grant.
  • For the road grant, only projects with quotes signed after 3 July 2024 are eligible.
  • Capped amounts for roads vary by power: from €1,000 (AC 3.7-11kW) to €9,000 (DC > 140kW).
